Prove the Claim: an interactive construction dispute
A main contractor has certified £184,320 of labour and plant for an instructed drainage diversion at nil, because the claim is not supported by contemporaneous evidence. The records do exist. In this exercise you find them twice: first in a typical subcontractor's filing system of emails, chats, photographs and signed sheets, then in Site Chronicle, where each day's labour, plant, delays and instructions were recorded on site as the work happened, and compare how long each takes to assemble the claim pack. An illustrative scenario: the companies and figures are fictional.
